Studio

Our ravishing studio is tucked away behind the busy streets of South East London in a Dickensian yard full of artists and craft makers. We will fill it for you with a selection of beautiful seasonal flowers and foliage and you will have full access to our vast collection of vases and vessels to explore. 

Your one to one class will be designed specifically for you, and we can work together to make sure we tailor the day to suit you. Whatever your level of experience we will work at your pace, allowing plenty of time for you to learn, and to enjoy each step of the process, from choosing your colour palette and selecting the flowers through to your designs. Take time to create your arrangements with consideration and thought. In the colder months our fire will be roaring, and there’s always a pot of hot coffee on the go. Take a step away from your busy schedule, slow down, and explore your creativity under the expert guidance of our floral designer Talena Lowther.

FLOWERS

We are passionate about using Seasonal flowers from local growers as much as we can. We love the species and varieties being grown here for their unruly characterful shapes, which will really elevate and bring personality to your work. If the time of year allows, we will source the very best seasonal flowers from our favourite local growers. We also source flowers from our very own Covent Garden Flower Market which has been providing flowers to Londoners since 1670. 

Details

We will teach you how to focus your approach to your designs in terms of form, colour, texture and movement. Whether that be an intricate bridal bouquet, a wild and magnificent urn or an artfully considered centrepiece for a table, you will create two stunning floral pieces with an emphasis on creating a picture perfect final shot. At the end of the day you will have a selection of flowers to take home and practice your new skills.

We love teaching larger scale installations so do let us know in advance if this is something you are interested in. Everything is possible!

If you are interested in a career in floristry our founder, Melissa Richardson, with a wealth of knowledge in running small businesses, will be happy to share some tips and guidance.

Investment

One-to-one classes take place Tuesday - Saturday, please let us know your preferred dates in the enquiry form below. Typically our teaching days run from 10am to 3pm with all flowers and materials plus a delicious lunch provided.
