Flower School at Chateau Dumas, France

We are thrilled to announce the exciting news of our week-long Flower School in the exquisite setting of Chateau Dumas in the South of France. Over the course of the week, and using a wide array of cut fresh flowers foraged from the Chateau gardens, we will teach you the skills you need to create impressive flower arrangements that look effortless, elegant and natural. Beginning with the foundations of floral design, you will learn both practical and artistic skills which will be put into practice throughout the week, starting with classic hand tied arrangements and wiring for hair crowns and buttonniéres. Later we will create table arrangements for a memorable dinner outdoors to celebrate the summer solstice, as well as learning how to make elaborate garlands and bowers for grand occasions. Also included in the trip are visits to the monthly antique market in Toulouse to hunt for vintage vases and vessels; to the atmospheric Sunday morning food and farmers market in medieval St Antonin-Noble-Val and to the nearby hilton village of Montpezat-de-Quercy.
